OUGD502: Personal and Professional Practice 2 - Studio Brief 2: A Design Presence Final Outcomes

Evaluation:

In order create an appropriate print and online presence that can be used for the focal point of my design practice, professional communications and visual identity I have branded myself as 'Glass Half Full' in order to represent the optimistic aspect of my personality which I believe has come in handy this year. Creating a 'positive' brand for myself is also appropriate for me professionally as, at this stage of the course  - about to enter the third year - I am positive about my future.

The promo-pack I have produced in response to the second studio brief of the module is a key part of my professional practice as it is something that will represent me as a designer and as a individual visually.

In order to demonstrate my preference towards hand-rendered techniques rather than digital in my design practice I hand-drew my logo myself and used this across all of the deliverables in the promo-pack I also chose a typeface specifically to reflect this. Another trait I wanted to reflect within the deliverables I produced in response to the brief was the friendly aspect of my personality.

Overall I am pleased with the final outcome for Studio Brief 2, one of the ten successes I set myself at the beginning of the second year which I wanted to achieve was a personal style within my work which I believe is clearly reflected within the outcome I produced which incorporates a mixture of hand-rendered and digital techniques.

I also pleased that in comparison to the outcome I produced last year for PPP this promotional pack is more professional and appropriate to my practice, I believe this is because I managed my time more appropriately and therefore the final outcome was not rushed.

However, I do believe certain aspects of my promotional pack could be improved particularly the crafted elements.
